ABOUT COLLECTION FOR CURES
Collection for Cures is a national gift program that raises dollars for ethical, non-controversial stem cell research and education. Churches or groups are invited to participate by taking up a second collection. If the church or group doesn’t do second collection, a donation of $1,000 can be made.
The program includes an invitation to people with a genetic disorder to join the Patient Repository and consider donating their tissue that may help to advance cures for their disease.
UNIQUE APPROACH
The John Paul II Stem Cell Research Institute (JP2SRI) is a non-profit research organization with a focus on finding cures ethically. The research exclusively uses adult stem cells, not embryos, to find cures for rare and not-so-rare diseases. The purpose of Collection for Cures is to raise funds to advance the research to find cures.
Using cutting edge methods, the Institute is paving the way to find cures using its disease-specific adult stem cells for rare diseases and for cancer. This unique use of disease-specific adult stem cells can potentially save years in the research cycle to find cures. Your donation not only helps to advance cures, but helps advance ethical science.
